Quickbooks Online lets you create invoices and estimates using your own unique custom branding, such as logo, background image, font and custom fields. Invoices automatically deduct tax calculations and discounts.

The Quickbooks mobile app lets you create invoices on the go and supports e-signature for on the spot estimate approval. It also lets you scan receipts for expenses tracking while on the move. Quickbooks syncs with your bank and credit card accounts to automatically update data between these accounts and Quickbooks whenever a payment is made.

Quickbooks Online keeps you constantly up to date with all your business financial activity. Through the homepage dashboard you can see a real-time view of the status of all your payments, invoices and expenses displayed in visual graphs and charts.

A live activity feed shows you transactions as they happen and alerts you to items that need your attention such as overdue invoices. The Quickbooks Online Plus plan includes advanced features such as inventory tracking, budget creation, billable hour tracking, purchase order creation, and bill paying.

Quickbooks Online was launched in 2001 and redesigned in 2013. The app now has over 683,000 users coming from small businesses. Quickbooks Online forms part of the wider family of financial applications offered by Intuit.

Other Quickbooks products offered by Intuit include Quickbooks Payment, Quickbooks Payroll, and Intuit GoPayment - a mobile credit card reader. Other financial apps by Intuit include TurboTax, Quicken and Mint. All of Intuit’s products are geared towards small business owners and accountants.

The Essentials plan costs $19.99 per month and includes bill payment and sales & profit reports. The Plus plan costs $29.99 per month and includes inventory tracking, 1099s and billable hour tracking, among other additional features.
